What Our Patients Are Saying

See our 5-star reviews from Yelp, Google, and elsewhere.
"Golden Afternoon in Santa Monica 1000% - prices are comparable to other clinics, the doctor is FANTASTIC and probably my favorite person on this earth at the moment…she actually sits with you before and after your sessions to talk things out. Fully private rooms, never busy, and can usually accommodate me on pretty short notice. They are all so incredibly nice, and I’ve been to three places so far and Golden Afternoon is the absolute best."

"6 out of 5. Dr. Jenn is a pioneer in this space and her practice is second to none. The integrative process with her is just as important if not more so than the pharmacology. The results of her care have reshaped my view on family, work and play where all other courses of treatment for depression and anxiety haven't made a dent. Go here."

This was a life-altering experience. Dr. Jenn and her staff are top-notch. I can't say enough or fully articulate what a truly safe, healing experience and journey this was. Everyone in the world needs this!

The most amazing team of people. Dr. Jenn and the whole staff provide the best care and make sure the experience is safe, rewarding, and delivers a positive impact for patients. I've already recommended my friends to come here and would highly encourage anyone looking for ketamine treatments to choose Golden Afternoon. And if you're on the fence about whether to do ketamine or not, I can confidently say that my life has changed for the better because of them.

The Golden Afternoon Experience is Unparalleled.

How we work with you to determine if this is the right treatment, and make it successful.

Initial Consultation

The first step is to have a consultation - you can have a free consultation with one of our nurses or care coordinators, or if you prefer can have a paid consultation with Dr. Jenn. We will determine if this treatment is right for you, and which is the best course for you: IV or Spravato.

First Session

Once we've determined you are a candidate for ketamine therapy, we will schedule your first visit. Dr. Jenn will personally work with you before and after to ensure a safe and comfortable experience, and help you to set your intention and contextualize.

Subsequent Sessions

Dr. Jenn will provide a treatment plan for you. For IV therapy, this usually involves 6 sessions within a 2- to 3-week period. For Spravato, it is usually twice a week for a month. Once you are done with this initial treatment, Dr. Jenn will provide you with a maintenance plan to ensure your success is lasting.

How Does Ketamine Work

The Science Behind Ketamine

Ketamine has been in use since the 1960s as a safe and effective anesthetic. It's so safe it's often used on children. In the last 20 years, scientists discovered that sub-anesthetic doses are successful in abating depression in patients suffering from treatment resistant depression (TRD) and major depressive disorder (MDD) at a much higher rate than SSRIs and other medications. Additionally studies have also been done on anxiety, chronic pain, addiction, and other mood disorders.
